When we find an error in a question or its explanation, we fix it and list it here. If you spot one, use “Spotted an error? Tell us” under any answer, or email support@vtnerounds.com with the question id (the code like VT-ANC-055 above the question).
This list starts on September 29, 2026.
VT-ANE-144
The explanation said “distal” describes how close a point is to the body. The book defines distal as the part farthest from the body. Fixed.
VT-ANE-120
The explanation said the vaporizer dial is unreliable at low flow, then that the vaporizer still delivers the dialed percentage at 400 mL/min. It now says the dial is less reliable at that flow and the gas in the circuit is diluted and taken up, so the dial should be raised.
VT-ANE-069
The quick-recovery sentence in the explanation read as if it contradicted the cat and sighthound exceptions. Reworded, and the citation now covers both book pages where those facts are.
VT-ANE-016
The explanation called 92 mmHg the median of the readings. The readings sort to 86, 88, 90, 92 and 95, so the median is 90, and the book names no median. Fixed.
VT-COM-002
The explanation had the reasons for options B and C swapped, and carried a sentence the book does not. Fixed.
VT-COM-024
The reason for option A sat under option B in the explanation, and two sentences were not in the book. Fixed.
VT-COM-015
The explanation said the listed elements “are what informed consent means”; the book says they are “a part of” it. Four sentences the book does not carry were removed.
VT-COM-009
The explanation said client education is what persuades most owners to accept care; the book says it can help persuade them. Reworded.
VT-COM-070
Option D’s explanation described a route the cited chapter does not carry, and option C could be read as putting the nucleus outside the cell. Both fixed.
VT-DEN-006
The explanation said more than half the attachment must be gone for stage 4 periodontal disease. The book also counts stage 3 furcation involvement in a multirooted tooth. Fixed.
VT-IMG-065
The explanation said option B’s point was one region too far cranial (the sacrococcygeal junction is caudal to the lumbosacral), and made three other claims the book does not carry. Fixed.
VT-PAI-056
Removed claims the book does not make from the explanation: that every source agrees, a common-slip claim, where analgesics act, the number of phases, and the brain end of transmission.
VT-PHA-138
The explanation said small scrapes expose the skin directly to the bloodstream; the book says they expose the drug. Two claims about infection and licking or scratching, which the cited chapter does not carry, were replaced with wording it supports.
VT-PHA-060
The explanation never said why option C is wrong. It now does: retained body water changes how a drug distributes, which is why hospitalized patients are weighed daily.
VT-ANE-135
The explanation said an airway obstruction is something you hear rather than something you watch. The book says those noises “may indicate” narrow or obstructed airways. Reworded to match.
VT-ANE-143
The explanation said “near the body” where the book’s table says “near the belly”. Reworded.
VT-ANE-139
A grammar slip in the explanation (“exactly the positioning terminology rule states”). Fixed.
VT-ANE-031
The explanation was rewritten to what the book says about replacing absorbent granules: replace them when no more than a third to a half show a color change, and fresh granules crush easily while depleted ones are very hard.
VT-ANE-012
The explanation was rewritten to the book’s own wording on vaporizers and vapor pressure, and the citation moved to the page that holds the deciding sentence.
VT-LAB-087
The explanation said the calcium adjustment formula is used to determine whether a low total calcium is due to low albumin. The book says it is used to help determine that. Reworded.
VT-LAB-029
The explanation was rewritten to what the book says about incubating plates lid down and leaving tube caps loose; claims the book does not carry were removed.
VT-PAI-037
The explanation was rewritten to what the book says: pain scores fall when analgesia is working, though it is almost impossible to remove all pain.
VT-PAI-036
The explanation was rewritten to what the book says about which topical local anesthetic goes with which site; claims the book does not carry were removed.
VT-PAI-014
The explanation named two different third causes of abnormal behavior after surgery in two places. Both now use the book’s wording.
VT-ANC-058
The opening sentence of the explanation pointed back to a needle placement it had not named yet. It now names it. No fact, number or answer changed.
VT-IMG-010
The opening sentence of the explanation now says whose negative charge it means (the focusing cup’s) before the cup comes up. No fact changed.
VT-PAI-011
The explanation said option A “gets the species comparison backwards”. It now says what option A actually gets wrong: it applies a human-medicine argument to a dog.
VT-ANC-055
Option B and the explanation said a high-osmolality solution must go through a jugular line. A PICC is also a central line the book supports. Both now say “central line (a jugular catheter or a PICC)”.
VT-ANE-077
The closing sentence of the explanation taught measuring cuff pressure with a manometer only. It now teaches the leak check (pop-off valve closed, squeeze the bag, add air until gas is no longer heard escaping, never past the target pressure) and rechecking after 15 to 30 minutes.
